I have played millions of rounds of vingt-et-un. I started working my way into the casinos when I was sixteen. I have bet on online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of money at 21. The gambling halls have made it almost impossible to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a type of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this method or defeat the casino, still you will experience an abundance of fun. This tactic is founded on the fact that chemin de fer seems to be a game of streaks. When you’re on fire your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I wager the table minimum on the next hand. If I don’t win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the wager back down to the original bet.
I am very disciplined and do not back out. It gets very exciting sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome runs a few times now. I departed a $5 table at the Palms a number of years back with $750 after 30 mins using this tactic! And a number of weeks ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give up much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more enjoyable. And you will be amazed at the runs you see gamble this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Bet five dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $5 bet
Wager five dollar
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of $10
Bet ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the first ten dollar wager
Wager 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 20 dollar
Bet $20
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $20 bet
Bet $20
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total wager of forty dollar
Wager 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial forty dollar bet
Wager $40
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of eighty dollar
Bet 80 dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar bet
Wager eighty dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $160
Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar wager
If you left at this moment you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!
It is herculean to go on a streak this long, but it occasionally happen. And when it does you can’t alter and drop your wager or the end result won’t be the same.
