Blackjack is a game that reminds me of a roller coaster. It is a game that begins slowly, but gradually gains speed. As you slowly build up your bank roll, you feel like you are getting up to the top of the coaster and then when you aren’t expecting it, the bottom drops out.
Blackjack is so akin to a wild ride the similarities are ghastly. As is the case with the popular amusement ride, your blackjack game will peak and things will appear to be going great for awhile before it bottoms out yet again. Undoubtedly you have to be a black jack player who’s able to adjust well to the ups and downs of the game especially given that the game of blackjack is awash with them.
If you like the mini coaster, a coaster that won’t go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way that you can enjoy the coaster ride is with a fatter bet, then jump on for the ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high stakes gambler will love the view from the monster crazy ride because they are not mentally processing the drop as they rush quickly to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in black jack, but very few bettors adhere to it. In black jack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that is awesome, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to flip and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.
If you don’t, you will not necessarily remember how much you enjoyed the view while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a mad ride … your head in the air. As you are recounting "what ifs", you won’t clearly recount how "high up" you went but you will quickly remember that disastrous drop as clear as day.
